Course Overview

Our Hadoop Administrator training is an all-encompassing course which enables you to gain in-depth, first-hand experience with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem’s diverse frameworks. The Big Data administrative course covers the installation and configuration of Hadoop, the computational frameworks for processing Big Data, Hadoop administrator activities, and cluster management using Sqoop, Flume, Pig, Hive, Impala and Cloudera.

Pre-work

As an Innovity student, you’ll get started by completing 60 hours of prep work in the form of online learning material focusing on Linux, SQL and Java. This essential material will familiarize you with the basics of system administration, preparing you for the bootcamp courses. While you’ll complete this initial training remotely, there will be extensive resources available to you in the Innovity community. We’ll be here to offer any help you need in completing this crucial training, so that you’re ready for the next step

This module will cover the “what” of Big Data, showing the need for frameworks like Hadoop and the application of Hadoop in the real world. You will also learn about Hadoop architecture, HDFS and other components of Hadoop.

This module covers the steps required to plan, practically set up the Apache Hadoop cluster, verify the cluster, and configure the files, ports and system properties that relate to the functioning of the Hadoop cluster.

This Module expands on advanced features of Hadoop components like MapReduce, YARN, Pig and Oozie to manage and schedule jobs for cluster maintenance.

In this module you’ll learn about aspects of security and security implementation in a Hadoop cluster to secure the data and cluster.
